Must have been a busy time for Jörg Örtl aka Jörg Molt Bitcoin Co-Founder the last days. Andreas Antonopoulos jumped in on twitter yesterday with this post:
Apparently, a German person called “Jorg Molt” has been showing a selfie taken with me and telling people that we are friends
This is a LIE. I don’t know him at all.
I have heard from others that he claims to be the founder of Bitcoin and has thousands of BTC. A LIE.
After that tweet the whole crypto world jumped on this gossip-train and destroyed the last piece of reputation of Joerg Molt. We are sure that he will not get another invitation at conferences or anywhere else in the future (by the way – most of his apperances on conferences have been PAID SPOTS from the money he stole his victims!).
The German Linda Seiche indicated that the police in Austria and Germany already started criminal investigations against the scammer.
A little bit annoying for us is the fact, that the whole industry focuses in their published texts on the fact that Jörg Molt claimed to be the Co-Founder of Bitcoin and compared him with Craig Wright and not on the fact that he runs a crypto ponzi-scheme for 2 years now. Jörg Molts new hastag is #GermanFaketoshi – we would rather promote #GermanFaketoshiScammer
Nevertheless here is the latest media coverage on Jörg Molt, the scammer from Germany:
